Hope

To have hope is to have confidence in the future. It not only can help make a tough present situation more bearable but also can eventually improve our lives. It gives you some sort of confidence for a better future which motivates you. Whether we think about it or not hope is a part of everyone`s life. It has different meanings for different people, for some, it means believing in good things will come, for others, it might mean always looking for the bright side. It can erode threats to our way of life and these days plenty are out there.
Hope is not optimism. Instead, hope is a motivation to preserve a goal or end state, even if we`re sceptical that a positive outcome is likely. The most pessimistic person can still be hopeful about something. It is deeper than simple optimism and more mysterious, delicate, and elusive.
Hope can foster determination, the ability to bounce back and to remain determined despite failure and setbacks. The best example can be seen when you ask any successful person who grew up in poverty the one thing that kept them going the answer is always hope. Hope is the thing with feathers that preaches in the soul. Hope has the power to changes us for the better.
In a recent study, from Harvard`s "Human Flourishing program", They found those with more hope throughout their lives had better physical health, better health behaviours and longer life. Hope also led to fewer chronic health problems, less depression, less anxiety and a lower risk of cancer. Hope can be cultivated by attending a motivational speech or watch, read or listen to online, through YouTube or blog.
Once the seed of hope receives proper nourishment it will grow tall and the branches will help us to reach the very top of our goal.
